Field Trips

Both field trips are limited to 20 participants each (first come – first serve). We can confirm that all participants already registered for the field trips are on board. The payment must be in cash at the registration desk.

Recommended clothing for both field trips: Participants should anticipate cold and rainy weather conditions. Wearing hiking boots is mandatory.

Wednesday, 05. April

Marine Triassic of Rüdersdorf (east of Berlin) – place of the famous Nothosaurus finds. Costs for participants € 20,00 (snack included).

14:00  approx. arrival in Berlin

Saturday, 08. April

Miocene mica clay of Gross Pampau (3 hrs drive), combined with a visit of the Museum für Natur und Umwelt in Lübeck to see the fossil marine mammals excavated from the Groß Pampau site. Please, be aware that the arrival time is not before the late evening (for participants planning their return flights on the next day). Costs for participants € 40,00 (including full catering on site).
